white peony Collection

This collection was inspired by summer bomb peonies that at one time grew in my garden during the hot summer months. My goal was to show what I saw when I looked at them: fluffy cotton-candy centres, tiny tentacles, and outer petals that danced like skirts. Summer peonies at the height of their beauty captured in still life.

After a friend asked one to be made for a unique commission, I went on to make more for another collector. The peonies that came out of that second commission, led me to photograph five still life images, two of which were exhibited at the Why We Create? and Becoming and Believing shows in 2023.

A limited number of free-standing sculptures and sculptures with bases were exhibited in collaboration with a local French antique retailer.
